Program Description
Meet us at the Lawrenceburg Main Library Vine Street entrance for a walk up on the levee or around Downtown Lawrenceburg! In April we will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 11, 18 & 25, but will continue into May and June for this 12-week program, held in partnership with Purdue Extension Dearborn County. It is part of the Purdue Extension's Get Walkin' program- helping Hoosiers get on their feet!
No registration needed to walk. But if you register and provide your email, we can contact you directly if we need to cancel for any reason. All ages are welcome, but no pets allowed.
You can just join us for the walk, or if you like extra motivation, sign-up for the free Get Walkin' email support program. You will receive a total of 16 emails, two per week the first month and one per week for the next eight weeks. Just email Marcia Parcell for more information on the Get WalkIN' email program- mparcell@purdue.edu
Starting in May, the walk will sometimes be followed by a special program. You can attend both or either one! (Special programs may require registration.) So far we have scheduled Hands-Free CPR starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, and LifeCenter will talk about organ donation starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Lawrenceburg Main Library.
Additional walking dates for the Lawrenceburg Main Library include: 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 and 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 13 & 20.
North Dearborn Branch also has walking dates set for 8 a.m. on Mondays starting April 3- no walk on Memorial Day. See that listing for more details!
