Program Description

Join us for a delightful afternoon of storytelling and science at our library! Designed for children in grades 1-3.  We'll dive into Terry Border's whimsical books "Snack Attack," "Milk Goes to School," and "Happy Birthday Cupcake," exploring the playful world of food characters with engaging readings. After the stories, kids will get hands-on with science by conducting the Yeast Balloon Experiment, where they'll learn how yeast helps treats like cupcakes rise by watching balloons inflate from yeast-produced gas. It's a perfect blend of literacy and learning, designed to spark both imagination and scientific curiosity in young minds!

Agenda: 1.  Listen to funny and engaging stories. 2. Yeast Balloon Experiment. 3.  Complete mazes and puzzles related to the topic.  4. Snacks and a drink are provided.  5.  Check out books on the topic if interested.  Registration is appreciated.
