Program Description
In 2023, the Lawrenceburg Public Library District hosted the Community Kindfulness Fair as part of our kick-off for summer reading. We have been asked by participants to bring the event back. Wish granted!
The Community Kindfulness Fair is a chance to help people in our community find ways to be kind to themselves and others! There is no cost to attend the fair and there will be giveaways!
And this time we will be joined by Miss Dearborn USA Jasmyn Blackburn! The Lawrenceburg High School graduate will participate in the Miss Indiana USA pageant in April. Her platform is kindness so it is a perfect fit!
Jasmyn will have a table at the fair. She will sign autographs and pose for photos. She also will read a book about kindness to kids at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
PAWS of Dearborn County also will have their therapy dog, Carmen!
As an added bonus, you can receive a special bracelet, while supplies last, to wear during 2025 summer reading programs. If you wear the bracelet, you will receive TWO prize ticket entries instead of just one! The bracelets are only available during special library events leading up to June.
Organizations scheduled to appear include:
Girl Scout Troop 4349 & 48043
Dearborn County Health Department
Imagination Library of Dearborn County
Indiana Department of Child Services
Moms Club of Lawrenceburg/Lil Pumpkin Creations
Special Olympics Indiana- Ripley Ohio Dearborn
