Program Description

Program Description

Autumn is the season of abundance, and opportunistic foragers can efficiently preserve a wide range of fruits, nuts, roots and seeds for winter sustenance.  Examples of foraged foods will be on hand, and processing demonstrations will help demystify how to make wild plants edible.

Speaker Greg Monzel is a student of nature with a gift for nourishing deep connections between people and plants. He has been a forager and practicing herbal educator, medicine maker and grower since 2008. He and his wife co-founded Persimmon Herb School in 2015 to hold plant centered space and build a healing community.

Presented by Archaeological Research Institute. Join the group for the Happy Hour portion of the evening after the program at Hoosier Icehouse.
