Join us for an afternoon full of fun, snacks, and darkness!
The fun begins at 1:30 and will take place rain or shine.
* Visit the Ewbank Room for your free pair of Eclipse Glasses, learn about Eclipse viewing safety, find out about the day's events, make a Magic Sunbeam bracelet and doodle on the moon.
* Visit the Genealogy/Local History Room to make an Origami Star.
* Stop outside in the Library Junction Garden to snack on Galaxy Popcorn and view the eclipse. We'll have some seats, but feel free to bring your own.
* Visit the Sally Stegner Depot room and view the Universe.
* Beginning at 1:45 in the Children's Garden join us to shoot off your very own Solar Flare Rocket
*Hang out in the Picture Book Area and watch The Magic School Bus Kids in Space.
* Pullup a chair to our new iPads in the Youth Services Department and watch Storybots: Outer Space.
* Wander over to the Teen Room to watch a live stream from NASA on the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse
* Record the day for history by stopping at the Youth Services Desk and taking a picture at our Galaxy Photo Op.
