Plant Swap

Considering planting a garden as grocery prices rise? Or do you want to add some variety to your flowers and plants? 

Then plan on attending the Plant Swap at the Lawrenceburg Main Library and North Dearborn Branch Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20. 

Bring some plants (or seeds) to trade! There also will be a limited number of plants and seeds at both locations available for free without a swap. 

What kind of plants will be available? Well, we will not know everything until the day of the swap. We are not sure what other people will bring, but thanks to some staff members, volunteers, SEI Community Gardens and more, we do have a place to start. 

If everything grows according to plan, there will be some herbs including borage, chamomile and basil. Peppers, squash, cucumber, zinnias, mimosa, sunflowers and milkweed also are on the “keep your fingers crossed” list. 

To know for sure, you need to attend! So, mark your calendar and start planting. We hope to see you there. No registration needed.
