Program Description

New spice or herb featured each month. Program presented via Lawrenceburg Public Library District YouTube page. Register to pick up a sample, everyone can view the video starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, on YouTube. You will be notified by email when your sample is ready to be picked up.

May is ginger. Ginger is one of the most popular spices in the world- and it always has been. It’s not hard to see why, with its host of culinary applications with a spicy, peppery, warming -even hot flavor- with subtly sweet undertones. This month our kits will feature samplings of Ginger in many different forms and culinary preparations from powdered to candied. Presented by Carisa Bunten of Seventh Street Gifts.
