Program Description

Meet Katherine Klimitas, artist, public speaker, author and graphic designer.

At 2 feet, 7 inches tall, Katherine has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, better known as Brittle Bone Disease. She gets around in an electric wheelchair. By age 10, she had broken 500+ bones. But there was no way Katherine and her parents  were going to let her disease dictate her happiness.

During her senior year at Loyola University, she started KAK Art & Designs, and has owned the business for nearly a decade. 

Listen as Katherine tells her inspirational story via Zoom, complete with both physical and emotional challenges, and how finding her place in the art world helped her navigate every obstacle thrown her in her way. She also will answer questions at the end of her presentation.
