Book Buzz Book Club The Brave

The Brave by James Bird is here for you to check out for this month’s book club.  Collin is in middle school, and he is being sent to Minnesota to live with his mother who he has never met.  He doesn’t even know her name.  He has a unique condition that leads him to count every letter spoken to him.  This makes him a prime target for bullies.  Can his neighbor and new friend help him overcome his challenges of getting to know the family he has never met and fitting in at his new school and in a new community?  This month’s snack is an upside-down cake. The activity will be to solve the secret code found in the book.
