Program Description

Author Robert D. Webster will offer a presentation based on his book, The Beverly Hills Supper Club: The Untold Story Behind Kentucky’s Worst Tragedy.

On May 28, 1977, Kentucky witnessed its worst tragedy since the Civil War. The Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, Kentucky was packed over the holiday weekend. Before Midnight, more than 120 bodies had been pulled from the burning structure, and dozens more would be found the next day in what was the third-worst nightclub fire in our nation’s history.

Due to former employee David Brock’s unwavering quest, new researchers spent several years re-investigating to uncover the true story – where 169 people were killed as a result of greed, corruption, Mafia rule, government cover-up, kidnapping, and murder.
