Program Description
LGBTQ+ adults & supporters will gather to hear speaker Rachelle Ketron, a Clinical Trainer and Master’s Level Intern for Community Mental Health Center in Lawrenceburg and founder of the nonprofit suicide prevention organization DOit4Meryl.
Here is a longer overview of her background:
Greetings, my name is Rachelle Ketron and I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Human Services. I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I have been involved in various mental health services for over a decade. Currently I serve as the Clinical Trainer and Master’s Level Intern for Community Mental Health Center in Lawrenceburg, IN. I am a certified QPR Trainer, Certified Alternatives to Suicide facilitator, and the founder of a non-profit suicide prevention organization Doit4Meryl. I reside on a small farm in the rolling hills of northern KY. My partner and I have 8 children together and also open our home as a therapeutic foster placement, focusing on the needs of transgendered teens. I have often been coined a jack of all trades and a master of none, so I can go on for days talking about all of my interests and hobbies. I guess the best way to sum it up would be if it speaks of or to the spirit of an individual I am all in! Can’t wait to meet all of you.
